Our head chef, Anthony Caldwell started 50Kitchen after a career working at some of Greater Boston’s most prestigious universities and kitchens. What started as a catering company eventually transformed into a fast casual restaurant right on Dorchester avenue. With a menu inspired by the cultural makeup of Dorchester, we serve smoked brisket (smoked in house), St. Louis ribs, Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, and other great southern staples. Inspired by the cultural diversity found in Dorchester, Chef Caldwell wanted to include a few Asian-inspired menu items on the menu. Our Vietnamese Smoked Banh Mi combines traditional Vietnamese cuisine with southern BBQ flavor. And our signature 50K sandwich is a pulled pork sandwich with Chinese 5 spice pork and house made Asian slaw. Fusion dishes extend past our sandwiches and include appetizers like jambalaya egg rolls and chicken satay. Whatever you are in the mood for you are sure to enjoy the savory items on our menu.
